Schools and clubs
For the club wall
The first-solo print
A school marks a first solo by cutting the shirttail and writing the date on it. The print is the airplane the student soloed in, painted from one photograph of it on the school’s ramp, with its registration set under the picture and the date and the field beneath that: First solo, 14 June 2026 · Half Moon Bay, KHAF. The instructor’s name can go on the line too, and the student’s, if they want it there.
A school can keep the render of each airplane on its own wall here and order the print again for every student who solos in it, with no second upload. Prints start from $130.
The clubhouse wall
A club’s fleet looks best on one wall in one tradition: every airplane on the line in Ramp Watercolour, or the whole fleet as a run of airmail posters. One photograph of each airplane, one style for the set, and every number set in the same face with its type, model and year from the FAA register.
Orders for a school or a club
A school or a club ordering for more than one airplane at a time is a quantity the studio has not priced yet: [[OPERATOR DECISION]]. Until it is, each piece is bought at the price on the prints page, up to ten of one piece in a single order. Write to support@painted.app with the fleet and the style, and a person answers.
Painted Flight is not affiliated with any flight school, flying club or type club, and a club’s name or emblem is not set on a piece.
