# Painted Flight > One photograph of your airplane, painted in 12 traditions of aviation art: its lines, livery and registration kept as photographed, and the aircraft type, model and year the FAA register holds for that N-number set beneath it in the same face. Printed up to 40 × 60″. ## What it is An aviation painting studio. Owners upload one photograph of their own aircraft (a high-wing or low-wing single, a twin, a warbird on a civil registration, a kit build, a floatplane, an amphibian, a helicopter, a glider) and get it back painted in one of 12 traditions of aviation art in four wings, sold as fine-art prints and canvas. The engine keeps the planform, gear, propeller, canopy, livery, stripes and registration as photographed; the registration is the only lettering in the picture. A maker's badge is kept as a shape in its colours with no readable letters, and the maker's name never sets. The register line: the type desk can ask the FAA aircraft registry (registry.faa.gov) for an N-number and set the aircraft type, the model and the year under the piece. The registrant's name and address are never read, stored or printed. Refused: faces in the render (crew stay small), an aircraft in service with an armed force (civil warbirds are painted), added flags, roundels, insignia or logos, and any aircraft crashed, burning or in an emergency. An airliner is painted with its airline's letters left off. A photograph that is not of an aircraft is refused before the engine sees it, and a boat is sent to Painted Hulls (https://paintedhulls.vercel.app). Not affiliated with the FAA, EAA, AOPA, any aircraft maker or any type club. Painted Flight by Painted.App. Run by PaintedApp, LLC, Portland, Oregon. Support: support@painted.app. ## How it works - One photograph: the whole airplane in frame, side-on or from the quarter, in daylight. Phone photos are fine. A ramp full of airplanes is not: one gets picked, and it may not be yours. - One style: the same recipe that painted the sample aircraft on the wall is run on yours. The prompt is built on the server, so what you get is the style you chose. - About ninety seconds: the upright lands at 1024 × 1536 and the wide at 1536 × 1024. Keep it as a file, or buy it as a print up to 40 × 60″. What you see on screen is what goes to the printer, rebuilt at print resolution the moment you pay. - The registration and its line, if you want them: the type desk sets them under the painting in the lettering of its period, with a date or a home field. No maker, sponsor or club names. - Passes: every visitor gets 4 free passes. One pass is one render of one photograph, returned as an upright and a wide. After those, 10 more passes cost $10. - Looking is free and every render is yours to refuse: only the one you chose is printed. - Your photograph goes to the engine twice, once for the upright and once for the wide, and is not kept. The render is stored so it can be printed: keep one and it lands on your wall, and write to support@painted.app and we delete it. - A paid print order waits an hour before it goes to the printer; inside that hour it can be cancelled and refunded in full. Files are delivered on payment. ## Pricing USD, the prices the checkout charges. Postage is added at checkout: a flat rate by size and region, set from the printer's own quotes. ### Wall - Fine art print: 12 × 18″ $130 · 16 × 24″ $170 · 20 × 30″ $260 · 24 × 36″ $380 · 27 × 41″ $440 · 30 × 45″ $540 · 40 × 60″ $880 - Museum print: 12 × 18″ $200 · 16 × 24″ $260 · 20 × 30″ $380 · 24 × 36″ $500 · 40 × 60″ $1200 - Stretched canvas: 12 × 18″ $260 · 16 × 24″ $340 · 20 × 30″ $440 · 24 × 36″ $620 - Float-framed canvas: 12 × 18″ $420 · 16 × 24″ $560 · 20 × 30″ $740 · 24 × 36″ $900 ### The file (personal renders only) - The file: This one $40 · Both shapes $60 Ships to 121 countries. ## Key pages - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/ · home: the render engine and the 12 styles - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/shop · every size and price - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/method · the register line and the badge rule - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/clubs · flight schools and flying clubs - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/faq · questions, the short answers ### Styles - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/styles/airmail_1931 · Airmail Poster 1931: Your aircraft, flying the mail in 1931 - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/styles/deco_airline_1935 · Deco Airline Poster 1935: Your aircraft, in an Art Deco airline poster - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/styles/pulp_cover_1938 · Pulp Cover 1938: Your aircraft, on a newsstand cover in 1938 - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/styles/gouache_1943 · Gouache Illustration 1943: Your aircraft, in a 1940s magazine illustration - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/styles/squadron_panel_1944 · Squadron Panel 1944: Your aircraft, painted on its own riveted panel - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/styles/airfield_advert_1952 · Airfield Painting 1952: Your aircraft, on a sunny airfield in 1952 - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/styles/three_view · Three-View Blueprint: Your aircraft, drawn in three views on blue - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/styles/approach_plate · On The Approach: Your aircraft, over its own approach plate - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/styles/manual_line · Flight Manual Line: Your aircraft, drawn as its manual drew it - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/styles/home_fields_oil · Over Home Fields: Your aircraft, over the fields of home - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/styles/ramp_watercolour · Ramp Watercolour: Your aircraft, on the ramp at golden hour - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/styles/night_ramp · Night Ramp: Your aircraft, on the ramp under hangar light ## Policies - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/privacy · privacy policy - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/terms · terms of service - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/cookies · cookie policy - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/refunds · refunds and returns - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/legal · every policy and a dated changelog - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/about · who runs it - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/sitemap · every page - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/llms-full.txt · everything here plus every answer the site gives - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/privacy-choices · your privacy choices - https://paintedflight.vercel.app/robots.txt · crawler policy: the catalogue and style pages are open to every engine; /api/, /account, /order/ and /print/ are personal and stay out - Contact: support@painted.app (PaintedApp, LLC)
